RAIA: Verna SC pipped Guardian Angel SC 3-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the St Joseph Festival inter-village football tournament played at Dramapur ground, on Monday.
Maximo D’Costa opened the account for Guardian Angel in the 8th minute. Guardian Angel further inflated the lead through Milton Fernandes in the 38th minute.
Verna SC scored through the efforts of Andrus John in the 25th minute and Meclito D’Costa netted a brace in the 55th and 60th minutes.
