FATORDA: Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao, got the better of Infant Jesus HS, Colva, with a splendid second half 3-1 win in the 1st Chowgule Sports Centre U-13 Futsal, at Chowgule Futsal Court, on Thursday.
Infant Jesus led 1-0 at the breather through the boots of Rahul Sherpali. VVA were a transformed side and despite a heroic effort from Infant Jesus keeper Vikas VVA scored three goals through Warren Rodrigues and a brace by Bevan Barretto to secure a 3-1 victory.
In the second match, Loyola HS, Margao romped to victory by 11-1 against St. Jude’s HS, Betalbatim. Reuben Barbosa scored a double hat-trick, Andreas Furtado and Shane Almeida bagged a brace each and Zolton Carvalho scored one. Kuldeep Kullu scored the consolation for St Jude.
Rosary HS, Navelim got the better of Manovikas EMS in a thrilling encounter by 8-4.
In a topsy turvy affair, Messi Rebello, Mustafa Bepari, Cain Fernandes and Aryan Tulsimani bagged a brace each for the winners and Yohann Sousa and Lochlan Sousa scored two each for Manovikas.
YFA beat Fr Agnel Multipurpose School, Verna, 5-0. Trond Dias and Soham Mane scored a brace while Princeton Rebello scored the other for the winners.
