In the semi-finals match, Wesley beat Rutuj Sonawane with a score of 11-9, 11-5, 16-14. Earlier in the quarter-finals, Rutuj beat Vaidik Shrivastava 3-0 (11-5, 11-6, 11-6) while Wesley got the better of Kartik Iyer 3-1 (8-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7).
