MARGAO: Wilred Leisure Sports Club registered a fluent 3-0 win over Curtorim Gymkhana 3-0 to storm into the final of all-Goa 40th Seamen Trophy inter-village football tournament organized by Chandor Club, at Chandor ground, Sunday. Wilred Leisure led 1-0 at the interval.
Wilred Leisure were a superior side and enjoy the total domination over Curtorim Gymkhana And had wait in the 20th minute to open their account .Following a well chip from the flank by Tony Das saw striker Milagres Fernandes nodded home giving no chance to the rival goalkeeper.
Stung by the setback, Curtorim Gymkhana tried their best to neutralized the lead but Wilred leisure defender protected their slender lead.
A lot was expected from Curtorim Gymkahna after change of ends but they made some inroads into the rival territory but Wilred Leisure were alert in frustrating the rival attacks. Tony Dias increased the lead when the swinger outpaced his markers and slotted past the rival with stiff grounder. Peter Pereira drove the last nail into rival coffin late in the second half.
Wilred Leisure Sports Club will now meet Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem in the final.
