VARCA: Wilred Leisure SC edged past Ambelim Sports Club 2-1 to move in to the quarter-finals of the Varca Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Varca Sports Club, at Varca SC ground, on Wednesday.
Wilred Leisure SC took an early lead in the second minute though Alister Fernandes.
At half time Wilred Leisure SC led 1-0.
In the second half, Wilred doubled the lead in the second half through Nalister Silveira in the 46th minute. Ambelim reduced the margin through Desmond Fernandes in the 59th minute.
