The tournament was inaugurated by sarpanch of Sanvordem village panchayat, Sanjay Naik in the presence of Ganpat Naik, Prahar Sanvordekar, Mahesh Kudchodkar, Jetendra Naik and others.
In the first match, Mathura SC got the better of Majestic Boys by 10 runs.
Batting first, Mathura SC posted 98/7 in the allotted 10 overs with some good batting by Tausim Mulla (25), Mahesh Naik (23) and Prajesh Naik (21). Allabagash picked up three wickets and gave away 19 runs. Ganesh Patil, Aniket Sawardekar, Nilesh Morjekar clinched a wicket each.
In reply, Majestic Boys could manage only 88/6 in 10 Overs. Nilesh Morjekar was 39 not out while Aniket Sawardekar scored 22 runs. Prajesh Naik 2/11, Ashutosh Naik 2/16 did well with the ball for Mathura SC. Man-of-the-Match Prajesh Naik (Mathura SC).
The second match was a close encounter as Mangalmurti Cricketers defeated Sahyadri Sports Club by one run.
Mangalmurti Cricketers posted 103/6 in 10 overs with Anup Naik’s 26 runs and Atish Gawda’s 27 runs. They also were helped by the rival bowlers with 37 extra runs.
Rajat Sawant was exceptional with the ball as he clinched three wickets for seven runs. Naveen and Mahesh Gaonkar picked up one wicket each.
Sanil Sawant 38 not out and Rajat Sawant 39 runs tried their best for Sahyadri SC but eventually fell short by a run with nine wickets in hand. Man-of-the-Match Rajat Sawant (Sahyadri SC).
Man-of-the-Match Vipal Naik’s quick 33 runs guided Mangalmurti Cricketers to a three wicket win over Mathura SC in the final match of the day. Mathura SC scored 85/8 in 10 overs. Prasad Bhende (21), Taushim Mulla (20) and Arif Mulla (13). Chandresh Haldankar 2/15, Paraesh Naik 2/21, Vipal Naik, Atish Gawda and Kassim Walikar clinched one wicket each.
Mangalmurti Cricketers chased the target in the final over with three wickets in hand. Vipal Naik (33), Atish Gawda (19), Dinesh Borkar (13). Rahul Naik 3/7, Ashotosh Naik, Rudresh Naik, Shekhar Sail one wicket each.
