PANJIM: YMCA Knights emerged champions of the 4th YMCA Knights Basketball tournament, defeating Kjs 94-80 in the men’s section at Don Bosco court, Panjim, on Monday.
The men’s finals saw two power houses go head to head and in the first quarter Kjs seemed to be running away with the game.
But the young and spirited YMCA team shifted gears scoring at will while putting the brakes on the Kjs with some excellent defence . For the YMCA Ajinkya Mane and Siddharth Shinde rose to the occasion and showed the packed crowds why the two of them are considered India’s best. The duo were ably supported by a young Daniel.
In the women’s section, 360 Life Changers guided by their star player Sakshi beat DBO Lynx 46-25 to win the title. The tournament was organised by Goa YMCA.
