With the district administration gearing up to tone up security in view of the Judgment on the Ayodhya dispute, the Rumdamol housing area is the cynosure of all eyes given the past history.
Residents of the Housing Board, including elected members, feel that the area have not witnessed any communal incidents in recent times and the people have been staying peacefully without any dispute.
Rumdamol deputy sarpanch Damu Naik said that there’s absolutely no dispute between members of the Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities staying in Housing Board. “We have together celebrated ID and Ganesh Chathurti. There are no tensions between the religious communities”, he added.
Rumdamol Sarpanch Sheriffa Bi echoed similar sentiments and expressed confidence that nothing untoward will take place in the Housing Board area.
