MARGAO: Curtorim Gym grounded Pax of Nagoa 4-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of all-Goa Dando Boys inter-village football tournament at St John de Baptist ground, Benaulim, Thursday. Curtorim led 2-0 at the breather.
Pax fell early when Curtorim’s John Mascarenhas slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot. Curtorim doubled the lead after Bruno Fernandes punted the ball to the far corner of the net. After the break, Melvin Fernandes added his name on the scoresheet. John scored his second goal and drove the last nail into the rival’s coffin.
