PONDA: Raia Sporting Club entered the final of the 32nd All Goa St Anne’s Festival inter-village soccer tournament thumping Nerul Sports Club 7-1, powered by Dr. Ketan Bhatikar’s SPARC, at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti-Ponda, on Tuesday.
Lloyd Cardozo opened his account in the 15th minute with his powerful shot to beat the keeper to make it 1-0 in Raia’s favour.

In the 24 minute, Lloyd got the better of a defender and his shot again beat the keeper to make it 2-0.
In the 27 minute, Joyston from the flank chipped the ball to Elton who managed to cut past a defender and place the ball into the goal to make it 3-0.
Lloyd completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute when he danced his way past two defenders and placed the ball over the advancing keeper to make it 4-0.
In the 40 minute, Lloyd scored his fourth goal when he got a loose ball inside the box.
In the 60 minute, Joyston Barbosa got a through ball and outran a defender and placed the ball into the goal to make it 6-0.
Nikhil Naik managed to reduce the margin in the 65th minute. Again Joyston increased the margin to make it 7-1.
Lloyd Cardozo was declared man-of-the-match and Naresh Naik gave away the prize.
Raia Sporting Club will now meet Sinquerim SC in the final on July 31 on the occasion of St. Anne’s feast.
