MAPUSA: St Anthony High School, Duler defeated Shri Ganesh High School, Mapusa 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Bardez Taluka U-14 Boys Football Championship, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), played at Assonora Sports Complex, on Tuesday.
It was Shawiz Pathan Khan and Sanket Patil who scored a brace each for Duler School.
In the next match, St Ann’s High School, Thivim defeated St Theresa High School, Candolim 2-1. Samyak Salkar scored a brace while Brain Fernandes scored one goal for Candolim School.
In the next match, Holy Cross HS, Bastora defeated St Thomas Boys High School, Aldona 2-0. Vishal Butte netted a brace.
In the afternoon session, St Francis Xavier High School, Siolim defeated Lourdes Convent High School, Saligao 3-1.
Hrishikesh Shirodkar scored a brace while Nilesh Kammar scored a goal for Siolim School.
Ritesh Parsekar managed to reduce the margin by scoring one goal for Lourdes Convent High School, Saligao.
In the next match St Joseph High School, Calangute defeated Seminary of Our Lady Saligao 4-1.
Alpesh Wagheri scored two goals while Sanket Karapurkar and Raul Khakha scored a goal each. Ceon Fernandez scored one goal for Seminary of Our Lady Saligao.
In the last match of the day, St Joseph High School, Arpora defeated St Britto High School, Mapusa 1-0. The all important goal was scored by Aryan Poll in the first half of the match.
On Monday, St Joseph High School, Calangute defeated Our Lady of Remedies High School, Nerul 7-0.
Alpesh Wagheri scored four, Adesh Solanki Simon Patra and Bruno Dias scored a goal each for Calangute School.
Seminary of Our Lady High School defeated GS Amonkar Vidya Mandir Mapusa 2-0. Cinoi Dias and Nicolas DCosta scored for Saligao School

Ray D’Souza scored two goals. Sweden Albuquerque, Aryan Poll and Rushank Halarnkar scored a goal each for Arpora School.
In the next match of the day, St Anthony High School, Guirim defeated Assagao Union High School, Assagao 6-0. Kenricks Menezes scored a hat-trick while Franco Andrade, Ryan Dias and James David scored a goal each for Guirim School.
St Thomas Boys High School defeated St Michael’s Convent, Vagator 5-0.
