MARGAO: Additional Sessions Judge Edgar Fernandes on Thursday acquitted two persons who were accused of having assaulted a person in 2014.
The police case was that on December 11, 2014, Maqbool Shaikh and Samir Shaikh, both residents of Rumdamol in Davorlim stopped one Samresh Ramesh Redkar near the Maruti temple at around midnight and assaulted him.
However, as the witnesses produced by the State turned hostile during the hearing of the case, the judge acquitted the duo.
