Former Chief Minister late Dr Wilfred D’Souza had commenced a mini Kadamba bus service from Baga-Arpora to Mapusa via Parra, which was benefiting the students and locals of remote areas from main bus stops. Now the question arises is what compelled the Kadamba Transport Corporation to stop the much required bus service?
Even Parra VP former sarpanch Benedict D’Souza had made fruitful attempt to start KTC bus service with the help of Dr Wilfred then. Was the bus service suffering loss? Not possible, because Boquechi Arradi Parra lacking bus service till today.
Residents from this area have to walk nearly one to two kilometres to catch Mapusa route bus. And what about the students, they walk every day. Oh! Don’t think about school bus service, it’s rare as there is shortage of busses. Whom to ask and whom to blame?
Thirty per cent people living in these areas don’t have their own means of transportation. And therefore Arpora to Mapusa via Boquechi Arradi Parra bus service is very vital to ease the hardships of the locals and students.
I hope the concerned local MLA and Kadamba Transport Corporation officials take note of the problem the locals are facing and come up with a solution as soon as possible.
