VASCO: Forum for Rights of Children Education (FORCE) has again challenged Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) activists for an open public debate on the Medium of Instruction (MoI). FORCE activists also decided to make attempts to expose the hidden agenda of BBSM through constituency wise meetings with parents who are in favour of English as MoI.
A similar meeting (third after Agassaim and Canacona) was held at St Andrews Institute in Vasco with FORCE explaining to parents the controversy and seeking support for future movements if the government does not fulfill its demands to amend the Goa School Education Act and make English as MoI along with Konkani and Marathi by December this year or latest by January next year.
Addressing parents, FORCE Secretary Savio Lopes lambasted BBSM for misguiding citizens on the issue and claimed that the same is done with a hidden agenda. He also accused BBSM of creating religious conflict to divide the people on the basis of religion.
