MARGAO: Activist Royla Fernandes has defended the work of Environment and PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral in light of allegations made against the minister by the Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas about the issues with the Navelim Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) and Benaulim western bypass.

Fernandes, the petitioner in the courts on the Western bypass matter said the allegation made by Viegas to Cabral that the Minister had allegedly instructed Benaulim locals not to inform him (Viegas) about Cabral’s inspection of the bypass was false. She further criticised Viegas for linking the STP issue with the bypass.
