Post resumption, Fatorda Veteran put up a vast improved display as they troubled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids. The lone goal of the match came midway in the second half when Sebastiao Furtado beat the rival goalkeeper with snap shot off well measured pass from Bobby Crasto. Stung by the setback, Candolim Veterans tried their best but failed to get past the rival rear guard.

MARGAO: A second half strike by Sebastaio Furtado enabled Fatorda Veterans to overcome Candolim Veterans 1-0 to cruise into the quarter-final of all-Goa Veterans inter-village football tournament, organized by Curtorim Veterans Club, at DYSA ground, Curtorim, on Tuesday. There was no score at half time.
