PANJIM: In an attempt to further improve policing in the State, Goa government has proposed setting up 13 police stations in addition to those functioning across the State. While eight police stations will be located in north Goa district at Bambolim, Merces, Shiroda, Mardol, Dharbandora, Tivim and Sankhli; the remaining five will be set up at Navelim, Fatorda, Benaulim, Poinguinim and Sancoale in the South.
In addition to these, the government is also contemplating to set up nine sub divisions at Bambolim, Dharbandora, Anjuna, Pernem, Maina, Curtorim, Colva, Canacona and Verna.
