PORVORIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday assured the House that all the pending applications as well as financial disbursements under various social welfare schemes would be cleared by December 19.
Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte had raised the issue with regards to non-release of financial assistance to senior citizens under Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS), women under Griha Aadhar and Laadli Laxmi.

The MLA also pointed out that new applications under various schemes are pending since 2019.
Admitting to the same, the Chief Minister said that the government has cleared Laadli Laxmi applications till January 2019 for those married women.
“The benefits under Griha Aadhar are pending for the last four months while under DSSY payment is not made for the last three months,” he said.
“We have already started clearing the backlog and all the pending payments as well as applications would be cleared by December 19,” he said.
