The NGPDA chairman happens to be Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, who allegedly led a group of people and demolished three other allegedly illegal dance bars on Saturday, which even drew ire of the ruling BJP.
Following complaints from Calangute villagers, the NGPDA has issued a show cause notice cum stop order to the ‘dance’ bar for operating in violation of the Goa (Regulation of Land Development and Building Construction) Act 2008, and the Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulations, 2010. The show cause notice is answerable within seven days, failing which the ‘dance’ bar would be demolished. Pg5
