PONDA: An ambulance of the Ponda Sub-District Hospital encountered a mechanical snag while moving two patients to the GMC on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the ambulance left the Ponda Sub-District Hospital on Wednesday night about 8 pm, however, after covering a distance of about 3-4 kms, the ambulance encountered a mechanical problem, forcing the driver to park the vehicle along the NH-4 at Farmagudi.
Two patients, one suffering from jaundice and the other ~ a woman who was bitten by a snake, were being moved to the GMC hospital. The patients were then moved by private vehicles to GMC.
