PANJIM: Goa’s sensation Tanisha Crasto has sealed her place into the finals of girls U-19 doubles and mixed doubles events, at the Yonex-Sunrise 44th Junior National Badminton Championships 2019, at Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday.
Tanisha along with her partner Aditi Bhatt from Uttarakhand, the top seeds and reigning Junior National Champions, cruised past number third seed Shruti Mishra and Samriddhi Singh in the semi-final 21-16, 21-12 to set up a title clash with sixth seeds Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker.
In mixed doubles, Tanisha and her partner Ishaan Bhatnagar from Chhattisgarh, who have been in sensational form this season, will be up against the top seeded pairing of Navneeth Bokka and Sahithi Bandi.
In semi-final, Tanisha and Ishaan, seeded second, registered a comfortable 21-12, 21- 11 win over number fourth seed Satish Kumar K and Ramya C V and will look to better their performance from the previous Junior Nationals where they won bronze.
