The matter regarding a broken slab existing over a chamber near Matruchala at Dhavali in Ponda was published in this column on January 22, 2018. Taking a note of this important issue, the concerned authorities have replaced the broken slab with new concrete slabs. Hence the danger that ought to be faced by pedestrians has been put to a permanent end.
Commuters waiting for buses as also students walking their way to schools and back home have secured relief due to the said change. I am thankful to the concerned authorities for favourable action in the interest of public at large. Also thanks to the ‘Herald Team’ for highlighting this matter.
