SANGUEM: The villagers from Devlamoll Ward of Uguem Village Panchayat, here, complained of hardships for not receiving the drinking water supply for the last four days, on Sunday.
Villager Diogo Fernandes informed that the pipeline supplying drinking water to the area has ruptured. The PWD had deputed its officials and a JCB machinery to repair the ruptured pipeline.

“The department employees repaired the ruptured pipeline. However, the villagers are yet to get water supply,” said Fernandes.
While the department officials visited the village on Saturday to rectify the problems caused in the supply of water. All attempts proved futile in locating the blockage caused in the pipeline after the same being repaired.
Apprehensions are however raised by the villagers that outside mud might have entered into the main pipeline leading to the blockage of pipes affecting the water supply.
Fernandes said, “Late Sunday evening, some taps in the area had received drinking water but the water flow was in drops and the villagers had to spend considerable amount of time in getting one bucket of water. The department had supplied the village drinking water through a tanker for two days only.”
