IOC edge past CAG, cruise into final

PANJIM: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) recorded a narrow 2-run win over CAG in the first semi-final of the Goa Corporate League organised by Goa Cricket Association, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Tuesday.

PANJIM: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) recorded a narrow 2-run win over  CAG in the first semi-final of the Goa Corporate League organised by Goa Cricket Association, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Tuesday.
CAG won the toss and elected to field as IOC went on to bat first. Ravikant Shukla and Arman Jaffar opened the innings for IOC and before they got stronger on the field Shaurya Sanandia bowled out Araman (16) to send him to the pavilion. Paresh paterl scored 53 runs while Ravikant scored 43. 
Imtiaz Ahmed took 2 wickets while Shaurya, Saurav, Gurinder and Ankit picked a wicket each to bring curb IOC’s total to 184/7 in 20 overs. 
CAG tried hard to win the match and achieve the given target however they were stopped by IOC at 182/8 in 20 overs. Ankit Sharma (42), Swapnil Salvi (34), Ankit Kaushik (38) were the highest scorers in the team.
While for IOC Anant Tambvekar starred as he took 4 wickets. Rajesh Pawar and Saurabh Dubey took two wickets each to win the match by mere 2 runs. 
Paresh patel was awarded the man-of-the-match for his half-century.
