MAPUSA: GS Amonkar Vidya Mandir HS Mapusa triumphed in the Bardez Taluka U-17 Boys Table Tennis tournament, defeating St Britto’s High School Mapusa 3-2, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, held at Peddem Sports Complex, on Tuesday.
The third place was bagged by Seminary of our Lady High School, Saligao who defeated St Joseph High School, Calangute 3-1.
In the girls’ category, Saraswat Vidyalaya HS Mapusa won the U-17 title by defeating Holy Family High School Porvorim 3-1.
Mater Dei Institute Saligao defeated GS Amonkar Vidya Mandir HS Mapusa 3-0 to clinch the third place.
In all total 16 teams participated in the boys category while eight teams featured in the girls section.
