MARGAO: Saviour of the World HS Loutolim, Mae dos Pobres HS Nuvem and Our Lady of Snows HS Raia registered victories in South Goa under-15 Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy inter-school football tournament organized by GFA at panchayat ground, Raia, Wednesday.
Saviour of the World blanked Our Lady of Perpetual Succour HS, Cortalim 3-0. Jerry Miranda, Brenson Fernandes and Valencio Fernandes were the goal scorers for the winners.
Mae dos Pobres overcame St Andrew HS, Vasco 1-0. The all-important goal was netted by Macjone. Our Lady of Snows HS, Raia prevailed over Infant Jesus HS, Colva 4-3 via the tie-breaker after both teams were tied 1-1 at full time.
Melvin Gaonkar put Snows into the lead. Saglam Pereira cancelled it through St Andrew.
In the tie-breaker, Danny Fernandes, Jose Fernandes and Jules converted for Our Lady of Snows while Dylan and Sanglam scored for Infant Jesus.
