Eight people were kept in isolation in Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) for suspected coronavirus infection on Thursday, taking the total tally to ten.
In a health bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) it has also been informed that 23 people are under facility quarantine, while 39 passengers are under home quarantine. Goa has already reported three positive cases of COVID 19.
DHS said that 13 samples were sent for testing to Pune on March 23, of which seven tested negative while three were positive cases. The reports of three are still awaited.
On March 25, another 11 samples were sent for testing. At present ten patients are in the GMC isolation ward.
Total contacts in TB hospital Margao are six, North district hospital two, sub district hospital Ponda has six, sub district hospital Chicalim has three and Margao residency has 24 contacts.
