PANJIM: The Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) intra-centre tournament to select the best teams to represent their respective centres at the 5th GFDC Rising Stars Football Festival has kicked off at the centres recently.
In the first intra-centre match, Moira Blasters beat Moira Panthers 4-0 at A.A de Moira ground. The scorers for the winning team were Roylan, Francis, Nitesh and Sandesh. The player of the match was awarded to Francis Behera.
In another match played at GFDC Colvale, Rockstars beat Pirates 6-1. The man of the match was Raj Gawas from team Rockstars.
The matches will be conducted across the 38 GFDC centres and the two best teams from each centre will be selected for the inter centre tournament.
