MAPUSA: St Anthony’s Guirim will takes on Janata HS, Mapusa in the final of Bardez Taluka Junior Nehru Hockey tournament for U-17 boys after they registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Holy Cross High School, Bastora, at Peddem sports complex, on Tuesday.
Ravi R and Joseboy D scored goals for Guirim school.
In the second semi-final, Janata High School, Mapusa trounced St Joseph’s High School, Calangute by 9-0 margin.
Hari Sherpa and Asif Hubali did most of the damage, while Govinda Lamani did some fine goalkeeping for the Janata school.
