VERNA: Defending Junior Boys champions Our Lady of Perpetual Succour (OLPS) High School, Sanpaolo continued their march with an impressive 2-0 victory over Regina Mundi High School, Vasco in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament here on Tuesday.

Shenoy Fernandes was the hero for Father Agnel High School, Pilar with a double strike as they upstaged Father Agnel Multipurpose HS, Verna 2-0 at the latter’s ground.
In other Junior Boys league games, Suman Murmu’s 23rd minute goal was enough for St Joseph, Calungute to edge out St Thomas, Majorda 1-0 while Progress High School, Sanquelim and Mae Dos Pobres High School marched ahead with convincing victories.
Malik, Brijesh Kankonkar, Durgesh and Sunil (three goals each) were the top scorers as Shri Shantadurga HSS, Bicholim thrashed Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bambolim 16-1 in a Senior Boys league.
Saeesh Halarnkar stood out for MES College of Arts and Commerce as his 51st-minute goal helped them get past KK Birla Institute 1-0 at Verna.
