MARGAO: The Director of Education has served a notice on the Administrator of Madonna Primary English School, Fatorda, to show cause why action under Rule 43 of the Goa Education Rules, 1986, for suspending the recognition of the school should not be initiated against the school.
Additional Education Director Anil V Powar has directed the management to submit the reply within seven days, failing which the school has been threatened with action as per the Goa School Education Act and Rules.
In the show-cause notice, Powar pointed out that the ADEI, Salcete, had submitted his report stating that the school classroom are congested and not conducive and configuration of classrooms may cause suffocation due to unavailability of adequate ventilation.
He further pointed out that the report of the Deputy Director of Education, South Zone, stating that the school has failed to produce the certificate from the PWD authority stating whether the structure is capable of bearing the load of the second floor.
