SANGUEM: In a kind gesture, the officials of the forest department, right from the peon to the Conservator of Forest contributed their money for the welfare and well being of the family members of their deceased colleague Prashant Natos-he, who had died in a tragic accident recently.
Hailing from Devgotimoll Kalay from a poor family, Natoshe had joined the forest department less than two years ago and was under probation at the time of his untimely death.
Since Natoshe was under probation and as his services were not confirmed, he could not get any service benefits from the govt. However considering the financial difficulties of the family members of their deceased colleague, the forest dept officials came together and contributed in whatever way they could to help the family members of Prashant Natoshe.
Altogether the officials collected a sum of Rs. 2.75 lakh and handed over the same to the family members of Natoshe at his residence recently at the hands of ACF) Raju Desai and others in the presence of Kalay Village Sarpanch Kishore Gauns Desai and panch Babu Xelke.
Kishore complimented the kind act of the forest deptpart employees, which he said, will largely benefit the family members of the deceased at times of need.
