MAPUSA: Goa secured a 47 run victory over Baroda B in their opening match of Late JY Lele under-19 all-India one-day tournament, organized by Borda Cricket Association, at DN Hall cricket ground, Baroda, Sunday.
Batting first, Goa piled up a total of 245 all out in 50 overs with man-of-the-match Ishan Gadekar’s sensational 85 not out of 98 balls. The opener was well supported by Samar Dubashi (51), Achit Shigwan (53).
In reply, Baroda B managed only 198/9 in 50 overs. Vedant Naik secured three wickets while Neeraj Yadav clinched two wickets.
