PANJIM: As many as 29 plots of land across the State totally admeasuring whopping 1,16,066 square metres have been ‘corrected’ from paddy field, playground, orchard, natural cover, cultivable land to settlement zone in Regional Plan 2021 using provisions under sub-section (2) of Section 17 of the Goa Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act.

The plots of lands corrected as settlement zones include plot admeasuring 22,044 sq mtrs surveyed under Survey No. 182, sub-division No. 1-A (Part) of Village Dramapur, Salcete Taluka earmarked as partly paddy field with irrigation Command Area and partly cultivable zone; part of the plot of land admeasuring 17,036 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 194, sub-division No. 9-AL, of Village Tuem, Pernem Taluka, which was earmarked as cultivable with CADA; part of the plot of land admeasuring 10,291 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 81, sub-division No. 1, of Village Marcaim, Ponda Taluka, earmarked as orchard zone; plot of land admeasuring 6,527 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 182, sub-division No. 1-A (Part) Plot A, of Village Dramapur, Salcete, which was earmarked as paddy field.
It was part of the plot of land admeasuring 4,935 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 71, sub-division No. 3, of Village Ella, Tiswadi, which was earmarked as orchard zone; part of the plot of land admeasuring 4,438 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 136, sub-division No. 5, of Village Bordem, Bicholim. which was earmarked as orchard zone; part of the plot of land admeasuring 4,293 sq mtrs, surveyed under Survey No. 204, sub-division No. 3, of Village Socorro, Bardez, which was earmarked as partly orchard zone and partly natural cover zone with No Development Slope (NDS).
