PANJIM: The petition filed by expelled MGP leader Lavoo Mamledar will be heard before the Special Bench of the High Court of Bombay at Goa after Justice M S Sonak recused himself from hearing the plea.
Mamledar had filed a plea before the division bench of Justices M S Sonak and M S Jawalkar challenging his expulsion from the party and also from the post of general secretary. He has argued that the party’s action against him has not followed the procedures.

When the matter came up for hearing on Tuesday, Justice Sonak recused from hearing the matter stating he had represented Dhavalikar brothers as their counsel in the past. The matter will now be posted before Special Bench for hearing.
