Riya Sawant secured 4.5 points out of 5 to emerge champion

Rakshith Rai tallied 5 points to take the first place in
the Under-11 boys category. Rishubh Naik and Rohan Ahuja
tied for the second place with five points each and a
progressive score of 17.5 points.
The other prize winners in the boys category – 4th Anirudh
Bhat, 5th Snehil Shetty, 6th Vipul Kulkarni.
In the girls category the other prizes went to 2nd Niharika
Tapadia, 3rd Gauri Hadkonkar, 4th Ivana Furtado and 5th
Urvi Bandekar. Sameer Salgaokar, vice-president, All India
Chess Federation gave away the prizes.
