MARGAO: A minor boy of 13 years was lodged at the Apna Ghar by the Margao police following an allegation that he molested a five-year-old girl at Navelim last night.
Police said the incident occurred at around 7 pm when the mother had sent the victim girl and his six-year-old brother to a shop to make some purchases.
The accused boy, sources said, passed some comments at the boy and later allegedly molested the girl. The matter came to light when the duo raised an alarm, inviting the attention of the locals.
Police said the boy and the two victims were later sent for medical examination at the Goa Medical College and hospital late last night. The accused boy has been lodged at Apna Ghar. Further investigations are in progress.
