PONDA: A car driver was injured while another occupant escaped unhurt after the car skidded off the road, collided with an electricity pole and damaged a roadside kiosk at Khandepar-Ponda in the wee hours of Monday.
According to information, the accident took place at about 1.30 am, when the driver lost control of the car while proceeding towards Ponda. According to information, no police complaint was lodged as the matter was amicably settled.
Meanwhile in another accident reported on Sunday evening, five employees of a private firm escaped with minor injuries after the bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road a low-lying area at Banastarim-Ponda. According to Ponda police, the bus was hired to transport company employees.
