MARGAO: The feast of St Anthony of Padua was celebrated with pomp and religious fervour at the St Anthony Chapel Deussua-Chinchinim on Sunday.
Thousands of devotees from all walks of life thronged the St Anthony Chapel Deussua to participate in the festivities.
In his homily, Fr Aires Furtado said that St Anthony through his life avoided sin and through his preaching and miracles brought the people to Jesus so that people transform their lives.
St. Anthony of Padua is one of the Catholic Church’s most popular saints. The patron saint of lost and stolen articles, was a powerful Franciscan preacher and teacher.
