Portuguese national dies in Anjuna accident

CALANGUTE: A Portuguese national died in a road accident near the Anjuna petrol pump on Sunday. According to reports, Sudana Silva Santos (33) was heading towards Vagator on a scooter (GA-03-K-8964) when she was struck by an oncoming water tanker (GA-03-T-7095) which threw her off the scooter and onto the road. She began bleeding profusely and was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was later moved to the GMC at Bambolim, but was declared dead on arrival. PSI Vijaynath Kavlekar is investigating the case.
