MARGAO: The MMC has resolved to revoke the licence of a mobile store at Margao and the removal of the boards will follow. “There has been a representation from Goa Mobile Retailers Association and going by the sentiment of the GMRA and also the unanimity of Council we have decided to revoke the licences,” said Babita, MMC chairperson.
The MMC has decided to simplify the process of taking trade licences and has put a time frame of 15 days from the date of application. “There was a room for manipulation as far as trade licences are concerned. Now if the file remains above 15 days the responsible would be penalized,” added Babita.
