Mad Max, Taleigao swamped Alleulia Boys, Navelim 2-0 to storm into the semi-finals of Gumboots football tournament organised by Gumboots Boys of Orlim at church ground, Orlim on Tuesday. Mad Max were leading 1-0 at half time.
Mad Max drew first blood when Cedric Peixoto headed home a flag kick taken byThomson.
Mad Max had chances to increase their tally but it was poor finishing by their forwards and fine keeping by the rival goalkeeper which kept the score 1-0 at the breather.
Crossing over, Alleulia Boys put up an improved performance and created many forays into the rival territory but Mad Max’s defence was alert in frustrating the rival attackers with neat tackles.
Mad Max doubled the lead when Ceasar unleashed a right footer which crashed into the net keeping the Navelim goalkeeper dazed.
