Lok Bhavan at Dona Paula and the area within a 500-metre radius have been declared a no-fly zone for unauthorised drones by the North Goa District Magistrate.
The 60-day restriction has been imposed following sightings of unidentified drones over the Lok Bhavan premises on July 12 and 15, raising security concerns at the Governor’s official residence.
The order aims to strengthen security around the protected premises and prevent the unauthorised operation of drones in the vicinity.
Authorities have cited the safety and security of the Governor and the sensitive nature of the Lok Bhavan premises as the basis for imposing the restriction.
