VASCO: Barely 24 hours after four shops were burgled in the port town, burglars struck yet again and decamped with cash of Rs 1 lakh from a shoe shop in Vasco.
According to Vasco Police, the shop’s manager complained that burglars entered the shop sometime between 8.40 pm on Sunday and 9.20 am on Monday and stole cash of Rs 1 lakh by breaking the safe lockers.
Vasco Police have registered an offence against some unknown culprits and PSI Nikhil Palekar is investigating the case.
It may be recalled that burglars on Saturday night entered a shop through the roof and other three shops by breaking the locks of the shutters and decamped with cash of about Rs 15,000.
On July 29, burglars attempted to break open 12 shops in the port town and till date, Vasco Police have failed to crack the crime.
