Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and Home Minister Ravi Naik recently visited Bicholim to take stock of the dilapidated Bicholim Police station.
According to sources, Kamat and Naik expressed shock over the dilapidated condition of the building of Bicholim police station.
Home Minister Naik, who was well aware about the state of affairs of Bicholim police station, requested the chief minister to undertake the construction of new police station building as early as possible.
After verifying the file pertaining to the new police station building, Kamat assured to look into the matter as to why the file is pending.
The chief minister also assured to undertake the construction of new building as early as possible to give the end problem faced by Bicholim Police.
Kamat and Naik were accompanied by Block President Naresh Sawal, BMC Chairperson Anisha Vernekar and Deputy Chairperson Shashikant Halarnkar.
