MAPUSA: Devidas Panjikar of Khorjuvem, Aldona has written to the Crime Branch police to register an FIR and to investigate and arrest the culprits involved in leaking on “X” handle an alleged morphed video showing sitting MLA in compromising position.

Panjikar has stated on December 6 an allegedly morphed the video showing the complainant (sitting MLA) in compromising position was leaked and made viral by unknown user/users on “X” (Twitter) account of some unknown person/persons.
Panjikar has demanded to know that if the mobile phone containing allegedly morphed video of some explicit material of the complainant was attached by the police on December 4, than how and from where and who managed to upload and viral another alleged morphed video on X” application on December 6.
This clearly indicates that accused Kukesh Rauta of Odisha had some associates who had uploaded the said allegedly morphed video on “X” handle and therefore his custodial interrogation had become mandatory now, he said.
According to Panjikar, it was necessary that investigation be carried out to extract vital scientific data in order to find out the authenticity of the said alleged morphed video or else there were chances of more such alleged morphed videos being viral on social media. He has also annexed printouts of the screenshots of the same which was uploaded on a facebook.
Panjikar said that efforts were being made to hush up the case and even reporting was not asked by the investigating officer. The police want no one to have access to the accused as he may spill the beans and thus everything was doubtful.
