MARGAO: Jaya Varak, a 40-year-old resident of Shristhal, Canacona, succumbed to injuries at GMC Bambolim after being struck by two fighting bulls. According to Canacona police, the incident occurred while Varak was stationary on his motorcycle along the roadside in Shristhal. The bulls, reportedly engaged in a fight on the road, collided with Varak’s motorcycle, causing him to fall and sustain severe head injuries. He was initially rushed to CHC Canacona, then referred to SGDH Margao, and subsequently shifted to GMC Bambolim.
