MAPUSA: Mapusa Police conducted several raids on gambling activities and arrested nine individuals. The raids were carried out in different locations within the jurisdiction of the Mapusa Police Station. These individuals were found in possession of a total of Rs 12,900, and gambling accessories were also seized.
The arrested include, Arjun Chandrakant Gawade (38) resident of Shetyewado-Mapusa, Vijaykumar Manichand Oswal (51) resident of Dando-Siolim, Ramesh Ganesh Budhathoki (21) resident of Acoi-Karaswada, Rohit Ravi Roy (28) resident of Duler-Mapusa and Vijay Suresh Salunke (35), A resident of Thivim. These individuals, hailing from different areas, were found in possession of Rs 5,900.

Another raid was conducted in a close premises owned by Pushparaj Pawaskar near Swiss Chapel, Angod, Mapusa and caught Yash Kishor Naik (27), Ravi Kalappa Lamani (34), Prakash Parasappa Lamani (30) all residents of Khorlim-Mapusa and Pandurang Shankar Teli (39) of Shetyewado-Mapusa for involving in game of chance card gambling activities. The police confiscated Rs 7,000 from their possession.
The raid was conducted under the leadership of PI Shitakant Nayak, with guidance from Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi.
