Lucky escape for Sarmanas ferry passengers

Passengers on the Sarmanas ferry had a lucky escape after the ferry drifted from its route at Sarmanas due to a technical snag on Wednesday at about 5.10 pm.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the ferry was proceeding from Tonka to Sarmanas. As the ferry was about to reach Sarmanas point, a wooden log got stuck into its motor blades. There was commotion for some time as the engine stopped and the ferry started to drift. Later the log was removed and the passengers alighted from the ferry.
