MARGAO, SEPT 21
The Konkan Railway police station detained a married woman from Goa and a lad from Orissa after they found at the Margao railway platform since last night.
Suspecting their movements at the station, a police team questioned the duo about their presence late night. The police suspicion grew when the woman gave a false name and telephone number when asked for verification.
It was only when the woman claimed that she hails from the jurisdiction of Verna police station, the Konkan railway police contacted their Verna counterparts only to realize that there was a missing report registered against the woman.
The police later handed over the duo to the Verna police station for the purpose of investigations in the missing report.
Konkan Railway police station PSI Hiru Kavlekar said the duo were apparently waiting for the Goa Express to first travel to Karnataka and then head to Bangalore.
